Gene Adair – Alfred Hitchcock – Filming Our Fears

Review From User :

This is a fascinating biography about a remarkable filmmaker. I grew up enjoying Hitchcock's films such as The 39 Steps (one of my favorites!), Rear Window, North by Northwest, Psycho and Vertigo. Although I loved his films, I'm not sure that I would have liked him if I had met him in person. He did not sound like the nicest director to many of his actors and actresses, especially Tippi Hedren during The Birds production. Alfred Hitchcock is quoted as saying, "actors should be treated like cattle." Yikes, that's not saying much for their talents. I really enjoyed this biography.
